Sift flour and baking powder with salt. Add bran flakes, cheese, and apple, tossing lightly. Beat together egg yolks, milk, oil, and margarine add to flour mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry fold into batter, letting little fluffs of egg whites remain. Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of batter on a hot nonstick griddle and cook until bubbles burst on top turn and lightly brown on underside.
Syrup:
*Heat honey, water, and nutmeg or cinnamon until warm. Serve over warm pancakes.
