In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat cream cheese and butter or margarine until smooth. Beat in sugar and vanilla until well blended. Stir in whipped topping until blended. Spoon into crust.
Clean and hull strawberries. Place one large strawberry in center of pie.Slice remaining berries lengthwise and arrange, pointed-end up, around whole berry set pie aside.
In a small saucepan over low heat, stir jelly until melted. Spoon over strawberries, coating well. Chill pie at least 1 hour or until set.
To serve, cut into wedges. Top with whipped cream if desired.
