Prepare rice mix according to package directions, cooking until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Keep hot.
Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté garlic in butter or margarine for 30 seconds. Add mushrooms and basil, sauté for 2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium. Add scallops, cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add shrimp, cook and stir 3 minutes longer or until opaque and tender. Do not overcook. Add wine. Stir in hot rice and toss lightly to mix. Serve immediately.
*Cut large scallops in bite-size pieces. If using frozen seafood, thaw, rinse and dry.
