Pesto Genovese

Ingredients

2 large cloves garlic
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup tightly packed basil leaves
3 tablespoons pine nuts
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

Puree the garlic and salt in a food processor. Add the basil in small amounts and then the pine nuts, processing into a coarse chop. Pour in the cheese and oil and continue to process until the pesto has the consistency of cream.
