Camping Chowder


Serves: 5

Ingredients

polish sausage, thinly sliced, or 1 can minced clams
2 medium onions, minced (or dried onion flakes)
3 cups water
1 (16-ounce) can cream-style corn
1 (13-ounce) can evaporated milk
1 (14-ounce) can cream of potato soup (or canned potatoes)
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoons butter (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)

Directions:

Brown sausage and drain on paper towels. If you use fresh onions, brown with sausage. Dump remaining ingredients in a pot with sausage and onions and heat slowly.
