Pizza Sauce with Pizazz

Ingredients

1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 can tomato with basil
1 can tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon basil
1-1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1 pinch sage
1 pinch tarragon

Directions:

Sauté onion and garlic in oil. Separately combine the rest of the ingredients in blender whip together for a minute or so until blended and smooth. Pour this mixture into saucepan with sautéed onion and garlic. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes to blend flavors. Makes enough sauce for about 2-3 pizzas. Stores well in the freezer.
