Put the olive oil, garlic, basil, tomatoes, salt and few grindings of pepper in a saucepan and bring to a brisk simmer for about 15 minutes. Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente. Toss drained cooked pasta with the sauce. Serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
