1 Place a rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 15 × 10 × 1-inch jelly roll pan.
2 In a large bowl with a wooden spoon, stir together the flour, nuts, sugar, and salt. Add the butter and stir until evenly moistened. Add the eggs. Stir until well blended and the mixture holds together.
3 Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Firmly pat it out into an even layer.
4 Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown. While still hot, cut into 2 × 1-inch rectangles.
5 Let cool 10 minutes in the pan. Transfer the cookies to large racks to cool completely.
