Put all the ingredients in a blender and process on medium speed until smooth. Serve immediately.
Goji Berry Smoothie: Soak 1/4 cup of dried goji berries in the water for 30 minutes. Process the goji berries and their soaking water with the banana and strawberries.
Grape Smoothie: Replace the berries with 1 cup of red seedless grapes and omit the water.
Mango Smoothie: Replace the berries with 1 cup of fresh or frozen mango chunks.
Orange and Berry Smoothie: Add 1/2 orange, peeled, sectioned, and seeded.
Peach Smoothie: Replace the berries with 1 cup of fresh or frozen peach slices.
Protein and Omega-3 Smoothie: Increase the water to 1 cup and add 2 tablespoons of raw vegan protein powder (see Glossary) and 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds.
Quick Green Smoothie: Add 1 tablespoon of green powder (see Glossary).
