Cut grapefruit in half and then cut a little of the skin off the round bottom of each in order to stabilize. Remove seeds.
Drizzle 1 teaspoon honey on top of each half. Sprinkle ginger on top. Spread sugar over top, pressing down with fingers so that most of sugar sinks into the grapefruit.
Broil on top rack of toaster oven for 10–15 minutes, or until sugar is browned and bubbly. Makes 4 servings.
