1. Heat oven to 325°. Grease baking sheets.
2. Melt chocolate chips. Cool slightly. Beat egg whites in a medium bowl with electric mixer until stiff peaks form when beaters are lifted. By hand, gradually fold in powdered sugar, melted chocolate, crackers, pecans, and vanilla. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets. Bake 12 minutes or until tops are set. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks to cool.
