Prepare beans and set aside.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon, drain on paper towels set aside. Discard all but 4 tablespoons of the drippings.
Add onion and saute until limp. Add cooked beans, tomatoes, juice, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until tomatoes are heated through. If vegetables are too juicy, remove lid from skillet and reduce over high heat.
Transfer to a heated serving bowl and top with bacon. Serve immediately.
