Make a roux with butter and flour add milk, herbs, and cheese. Then in a casserole dish put a layer of eggs, bacon, parsley, and sauce. Repeat. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top. Cook uncovered in 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. This dish benefits greatly from the homemade bacon and sausage we get from our local butcher, but we've also used vacuum-packed linguisa to good effect.
