Great make-aheads for this week are the Carnival Salad (it can be made as early as Tuesday) and the Codcakes. The dressing for the Spinach Salad with Mandarin Oranges is better if made ahead, allowing flavors to blend.

Monday

Dovetailing Tips: Cut extra cauliflower tonight and toss it in the 15 Minute Chicken and Rice Dinner Wednesday.


Tuesday

Dutch Oven Pot Roast
Rich Chocolate Cream

Dovetailing Tips: When chopping onions for Dutch Oven Pot Roast, be sure to chop an extra cup of onions for the Sloppy Toms Thursday, so you don't have to drag out the cutting board and knofe again!


Wednesday

15 Minute Chicken and Rice Dinner
Lemon Sour Cream Pie

Dovetailing Tip: You should have already chopped some cauliflower for this meal so it will be a breeze! You can cut down on the amount of broccoli if you add more cauliflower or just add both because we love extra veggies!


Thursday

Sloppy Toms
Potato Chips
Carnival Salad

Dovetailing Tips: I hope you remembered to cut the extra onions on Tuesday. Toss them in and this will be delicious and tearless! Also, don't throw away leftover buns. Save them and we will toast them up for a yummy extra Friday.

If you haven't already, tonight would be a good time to prepare the dressing for the Spinach Salad with Mandarin Oranges. That will give it a day to blend.


Friday

Old Bay Codcakes
Spinach Salad with Mandarin Oranges
Chocolate Mint Brownies

Dovetailing Tips: If you had any extra buns after Sloppy Toms, toast them up with a little butter and garlic and enjoy them with your codcakes!
