Heat heavy pan and melt butter. Fry onion and chopped green pepper. Add shrimp.
When cooked, add a dash of hot sauce, chopped tomato with skin and seeds removed and sliced okra, and coconut. Cook until okra is tender.
Add coconut milk thickened with a little cream of rice.
Fold in ground peanuts.
If dendê oil is available add with coconut milk, however, I believe it will be more pleasing to most American cooks to prepare this dish without the óleo de dendê.
Serve with Brazilian rice.
