Combine flour and sugar, mix well. Cut in butter. Reserve 1 cup for crumb mixture.
To remaining mixture; add baking powder, soda, salt sour cream, almond extract, and 1 egg. Blend well.
In a greased and floured pan, spread batter over bottom and 2” up sides.
Combine cream cheese, ¼ c. sugar, and 1 egg. Blend well and pour mixture into batter lined pan. Spoon preserves over cream cheese mixture, sprinkle crumb mixture and almonds over preserves. Bake at 350°F for 45 to 55 minutes.
