Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a small bowl set aside. Cream together butter or margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla beat well. Blend in dry ingredients gradually mix thoroughly. Stir in oats, coconut and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly with the back of a fork. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
* This makes a very stiff dough. You may want to use your hands to mix.
