Place cranberries in large saucepan add boiling water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until berries burst and mixture thickens (about 10 minutes). Press mixture through a sieve or a food mill. Add sugar stir until dissolved. Pour into hot sterile jars, cover and refrigerate.
Note: Cranberry jelly is generally used as an accompaniment to meat or poultry but it is also good on bread or rolls.
