Tie allspice, cloves, cinnamon sticks and nutmegs in a small piece of cheesecloth crush with a hammer or mallet.
In a large saucepan mix apple juice or cider and brown sugar. Add spice bag. Bring to a boil over high heat reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove and discard spice bag.
Serve hot in mugs.
