Oatmeal Date Cake

Ingredients

1 cup boiling water
2 cups oats
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cups agave
1 egg
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 1/2 cups finely chopped dates
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Pour the boiling water over the oats. Mix well, cool slightly, and blend in remaining ingredients. Mix well. Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 45-55 minutes or until the center bounces back when touched. This is a very moist, rich, dense cake. Oh so yummy!
