Set Sun Oven out to preheat.
Core the apples and place them in a glass baking dish. Combine the sugar, raisins, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl. Fill the center of each apple with the sugar mixture. Dot each apple with 1/2 teaspoon butter. Pour water into the baking dish. Cover the dish with tin foil then cover the foil with a dark tea towel. Bake apples in the Sun Oven until tender, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve warm or at room temperature.
