Turtle Cake

Ingredients

1 (18 1/4-ounce) box chocolate cake mix
1 (14-ounce) package caramels
1 (6-ounce) can evaporated milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan. Mix cake according to directions on box. Spread 1/2 of prepared cake batter into pan and bake for 20 minutes. In a saucepan, melt caramels and milk together. Pour caramel mixture over hot cake; sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over. Spoon remaining cake batter over top and continue baking 25 minutes.
