Chilean potato pie
1 pound ground beef
1 1/4 onions chopped
2 eggs hard boiled, sliced
1/4 cup raisins optional
1/4 cup brown sugar
Salt and pepper
1 beef boullion
Cumin
Oregano
Mashed Potatoes:
6 potatoes large
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
Salt
Boil the potatoes. (They cook faster if you cut them into small cubes before you boil them.) Mash them and mix them well with milk, butter and salt. If you are planning to use the raisins in this recipe, make sure you soad them in warm water while the potatoes get ready. Brown chopped onions with cumin, oregano and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Add to this mixture the ground beef. After each layer of ground beef, add the sliced of hard boiled eggs, olives and raisings. When you are done with the last layer of mashed potatoes, sprinkle some brown sugar on top of it and bake it for 40 minutes at 350°.
