Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, cream the butter, egg, and vanilla. Add the contents of the jar, and stir until well mixed. Spread the batter evenly in a greased 8-x-8-inch baking pan, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely in the pan before cutting into 2-inch squares. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
