Hearty Luncheon Soup


Serves: 4

Ingredients

3 strips bacon
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon grated onion
8 Sunshine® Krispy® Original crackers
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can cindensed tomato soup
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can condensed pea soup
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can water (fill empty can)
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can milk (fill empty can)

Directions:

1. Fry bacon strips until crisp. Drain on paper toweling. Crumble into pieces.

2. Work butter or margarine until softened. Mix in onion. Spread on crackers.

3. Mix tomato and pea soup. Gradually stir in the water and milk. Heat, stirring constantly, until soup comes to a boil.

4. Place cracker under broiler, and toast until lightly browned. Pour soup into 4 soup bowls. Place 2 crackers on top of each bowl. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
