Cream butter and sugar in a small mixing bowl. Stir in vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Spread in bottom and 2 inches up the sides of a greased 9-inch springform pan. Spread Cream Cheese Filling evenly over pastry. Spoon Apple Topping over Filling. Sprinkle with nuts the last 10 minutes of baking. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 400° and bake for 25 minutes. Cool before removing from pan.
