Arrange green beans, potatoes and onions on a large sheet of aluminum foil; top with sausage. Add salt and pepper; dot with butter. Bring up foil around ingredients; sprinkle with water and close tightly. Place packet on a hot grill; cook for 30 to 45 minutes, turning once, until sausage is browned and vegetables are tender. Open carefully, allowing hot steam to escape.
Tip: New terra cotta pots make great serving dishes or ice buckets! Just line them with plastic before using.
