Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place hash browns on bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread beef and onion over hash browns. Arrange peas over top and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine half-and-half and soup. Pour over casserole. Sprinkle cheese over top and bake 60–70 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly around edges. Makes 8 servings.
