Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown sausage and onion together.
Spread potatoes in bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread sausage and onion over top. Cover evenly with spaghetti sauce. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30–35 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle cheese over top. Return uncovered to oven for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and sauce is bubbly. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese. Makes 6–8 servings.
VARIATION: Add pepperoni, olive, or mushroom slices before spaghetti sauce.
* Ground beef or turkey may be substituted.
