Ingredients

36 cherrystone clams on the half shell
3 slices bacon, diced
1/4 cup diced green pepper
1/2 cup diced pimiento
1 teaspoon minced shallot
3 cloves minced garlic

Directions:

Arrange clams and shells on a bed of rock salt (this prevents the clams from spilling over). Sprinkle with bacon, green pepper, pimento and shallots. Bake in a hot oven (400°F) for 15 minutes or until bacon is brown.
