Dovetailing Tips: Get those chopping knives ready for some extra credit today! Today's recipes call for 1 1/2 cups of chopped onions, but if you take the time to chop 4 cups worth today you will be set for the whole week. As long as you are at it, include 1 large onioin that you will halve and then slice. You will be glad you don't have to work with onions for the rest of the week.
Don't put away the cutting board just yet! While you are chopping the green bell pepper for this meal cut one into bite-size pieces and set it aside for Friday. Also, shred 18 ounces of sharp cheddar today and you will have all you need for enchiladas, plus 1/2 cup left over for Friday! We are really starting out this week ahead!
Dovetailing Tips: Use 1/2 cup of those chopped onions today! You can also get way ahead if you go ahead and wash and shred lettuce for the next 3 nights. You will be having salad twice and tacos once so there will be plenty of chance to use it up and it is always better to just do the job once!
Dovetailing Tips: As if Fridays aren't sweet enough, today we get the payoff for our dovetailing efforts! Onion, green bell pepper, and cheddar cheese are all in the fridge ready to go in to making this a fantastic meal.
