Ingredients

4 cups canned garbanzo beans rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon tamarind paste or juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon cumin seeds, roasted or ground
3/4 cup chopped red onion
2 fresh serrano chile seeded adn finely chopped
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro

Directions:

In a nonreactive serving bowl, toss all ingredients until well blended. Serve at room temperature.
