In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat butter or margarine until fluffy. Gradually beat in cheese, scraping bowl occasionally. Add sherry, horseradish, garlic powder and hot pepper sauce beat well. Spoon into a crock or bowl. Cover and chill at least 24 hours.
Remove from refrigerator and let stand for 1 hour to soften before serving. Serve with crackers or fresh fruit.
