3 pork steaks cut 1/2 -inch thick
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
1 tablespoon safflower oil
1 1/2 cups celery diagonally sliced
1 onion large, quartered and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons vermouth
1 teaspoon rosemary dried, crushed
2 apples large cooking, cored and cut in 6 wedges each
1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted
Divide pork steaks in half by cutting lengthwise along straight side of T-bone. Combine salt, paprika, and pepper; sprinkle over meat. Brown meat in oil in a large skillet; pour off any fat. Add celery and onion; stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add vermouth and rosemary; cover and simmer gently for 30 minutes. Place apple wedges around steaks and continue cooking, covered, for 10 minutes or until meat and apples are done. To serve, sprinkle with sesame seed.
