Drain oysters, removing any shell pieces, and reserve 1/4 cup liquor. Combine cracker crumbs and melted butter or margarine. Spread 1/3 of the crumb mixture in a greased, 8 x 1 1/2 -inch round pan, or in 6 individual shells if used for an appetizer. Cover with 1/2 the oysters and sprinkle with pepper. Using another 1/3 of the crumbs, spread a second layer and cover with remaining oysters and sprinkle of pepper. Combine half-and-half, reserved oyster liquor, salt, Worcestershire sauce and squeeze of lemon juice. Pour over oysters. Top with remaining crumbs. Bake in 350° oven about 40 minutes.
