Ham and Asparagus Chowder

Ingredients

2 medium red potatoes, peeled, cubed
1/2 cup water
1 (15-ounce) can asparagus, drained, cut
1 1/2 cups cubed cooked ham
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
freshly ground black pepper

Directions:

Boil potatoes in water in a 2-quart saucepan. Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook 5–7 minutes till potatoes are tender-crisp. Add asparagus and ham; cover and cook 6 minutes. Stir in soup and milk; bring to a boil, then simmer. Sprinkle servings with pepper.
