Heat gas, charcoal or electric grill.
In a 2-quart bowl, whisk water and dry onion soup mix together. Stir ground beef into soup mixture until thoroughly blended. Shape into 8 patties. Place patties on a hot grill. Grill for 12–16 minutes, turning once, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Serve on buns with your favorite hamburger toppings.
