Blackberry Filling:
Preheat oven to 375°. Mix sugar and flour; then toss gently with blackberries to coat evenly. Transfer to a 9x9-inch baking dish that is well buttered.
Crust Topping:
Combine flour, sugar, and baking powder; blend. Make a well in center of dry ingredients and blend in beaten egg, mixing until topping is crumbly. Sprinkle over berry mixture. Drizzle melted butter evenly over crumbly topping. Place baking dish on a baking sheet or foil to prevent spillovers. Bake 45 minutes, or until crisp.
