That Yummy Bread:
Heat milk just to boiling; stir in sugar, shortening and salt. Cool to lukewarm and set aside. Heat water to between 110 and 115 degrees; add yeast, stir to dissolve and add to milk mixture. Pour into a large bowl. Add 4 cups flour; stir and beat. Add remaining flour; stir. Let dough rest for 10 minutes; knead on a floured surface until smooth. Place dough in an oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise until double. Punch down; shape into 2 balls. Roll each out 1/4-inch thick to a 15-inch by 9-inch wide rectangle. Brush with 2 tablespoons egg, reserving remainder for filling. Spread filling to one inch from edges; roll up jelly-roll style, starting on long edge. Pinch edges to seal; place in 2 greased 9"x5" loaf pans, seam-side down. Brush with butter; cover and let rise for one hour. Slash tops of loaves; bake at 400 degrees for one hour. Let cool before slicing.
Filling:
Sauté parsley, onions and garlic in butter; cool slightly and add reserved egg from main recipe. Add salt, pepper and hot sauce.
