Cream together cream cheese and sour cream, and add any of the following: 1 teaspoon chopped onion or chives 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley 1/4 cup chopped ripe or pimiento-stuffed olives 3 tablespoons chopped crisp bacon, minced chopped beef, or ground cooked ham 1/2 cup chopped salted almonds or other nuts 4 or 5 chopped dates or 1/4 cup raisins finely diced raw vegetables such as celery, green pepper, radishes, cucumbers, zucchini, spinach, or drained tomatoes. Mix well. Spread on bread (raisin bread may be substituted for whole wheat). Makes enough filling for 4 sandwiches.
