Drinda's Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
4 large carrots, thinly sliced
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, liquid reserved
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons paprika
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup sour cream
1 package (12 to 16 ounces) hot cooked egg noodle

Directions:

In a large frying pan, brown ground beef and onion until meat is no longer pink. In a separate pan, saute carrots, mushrooms, and garlic in oil until cooked through. Add vegetables, salt, pepper, paprika, mushroom liquid, and water to beef mixture. Cover and simmer slowly for 30 minutes. Stir in the sour cream and simmer for 3–4 minutes, or until heated through. Serve over hot noodles..
