1. Find a plate that is 3 or 4 inches wider than the round of Brie. Place it on top of the pastry sheet and cut around the edge of the plate to form a circle of dough.
2. Place the round of Brie in the middle of the dough. Fold the dough onto the center of the round.
3. Place the round in a baking pan and brush the top with egg. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
4. Spoon jam over the top and let set for 15 minutes. Cut out slices of warm Brie and spread on buttery crackers or baguette slices.
