Beat egg in a small bowl; stir in milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour into 2 ungreased 6-ounce custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Set custard cups in a baking pan filled with 1/2 inch of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, until set.
Tip: Delectable fruit like peaches needn't go to waste if it ripens quicker than you can eat it. Purée it, freeze and use later for topping cheesecake or waffles.
