Ingredients

1 pound cabbage finely chopped
1 onion large, cut in rings
2 teaspoons celery seeds
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon mustard prepared
1 cup salad oil

Directions:

Put first flour ingredients in layers in a large bowl.

Combine vinegar, salt, sugar, mustard and bring to a boil. Add 1 cup salad oil. Bring to a boil again and pour over cabbage. Mix, cover and chill. This will stay crisp for several days.
