Sprinkle almonds and 2 tablespoons of macaroon crumbs in bottom of a 6 1/2 -cup mold (preferably one with a simple design). Whip cream until stiff and mix in orange concentrate, liqueur and remaining macaroons. Turn ice cream into a bowl and fold in whipped cream and macaroon mixture. Spoon into the mold, cover and freeze until firm (at least 4 hours or up to a week).
To serve, dip mold in apan of warm water a few seconds and invert on a serving platter. Sprinkle strawberries with sugar to taste and spoon around ice cream mold.
