Brown the ground beef with onion. Drain fat.
Stir in salsa, cheese and refried beans. Heat just until cheese and beans are melted. Remove from heat.
In a frying pan, heat oil over medium high heat. Place a corn tortilla into the hot oil. While it is cooking, put a spoonful of meat mixture on top of half the shell. Gently fold the shell over so that the meat is in the middle of the tortilla and it resembles a taco. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels set on a plate.
Serve with sour cream and salsa.
