Preheat oven to 350°.
Remove giblets and neck from body cavity. Rinse chicken and pat dry. Spoon stuffing lightly into chicken. Close cavity with skewers. Tie legs and tail together. Fold wing tips under body. Place chicken, breast-side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
In a small bowl, mix butter or margarine and lemon juice. Pour over chicken. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Roast for 15 minutes. Pour broth over chicken. Roast 1 to 1 1/2 hours longer or until done, basting occasionally, (Allow 20 minutes per pound.)
Remove stuffing from cavity. Place chicken on a heated platter and serve with stuffing.
