Preheat oven to 400°.
Evenly arrange apples in pie shell. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup of the sugar and cinnamon sprinkle over apples.
In a small bowl, mix flour and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. With a pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Cool slightly before serving or serve at room temperature.
