FAMILY FUN
TGIF NIGHT
In your house, TGIF can stand for Thank Goodness It's Family Night, any night of the week or weekend. Get the whole family involved to quickly get dinner on the table together. Or parents can take a break while the kids pick a very easy menu and even do the cooking. Kids will find easy-to-follow directions for their favorites that they can make by themselves.
Alphabet Breadstick Dunkers
Heat oven to 375°. Unroll 1 can (11 ounces) refrigerated breadsticks dough separate at perforations to form 12 strips. Shape strips of dough into desired letters of the alphabet on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, heat 1 cup pizza or pasta sauce in small saucepan over medium heat until hot. Dip breadsticks into warm pizza sauce.
Fruit and Cheese 'Bobs
Cut 8 cubes from 1/2 block (4 ounces) Cheddar cheese and
8 cubes from 1 honeydew melon or cantaloupe. Thread 2 cheese cubes and 2 melon cubes alternately on each of four 10-inch bamboo skewers. Add 1 strawberry to each end of skewer.
Puffy Popcorn Balls
Heat 1 bag (10 ounces) large marshmallows and 1/4 cup butter in large saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until marshmallows are melted remove from heat. Add
8 cups popped popcorn stir until evenly coated. Cool 5 minutes. Using buttered hands, shape mixture by cupfuls into balls.

Pop popcorn after dinner and mix together with marshmallow mixture. For
a fun way to decorate,
sprinkle with edible glitter.
Think of an activity everyone can do together. Maybe it's as simple as playing cards or your favorite board game. Interacting with your kids in enjoyable activities is a great way to stay in touch!
Plan a cozy fireside supper. Pull chairs and TV trays close to the hearth, or spread a blanket on the floor, picnic style, and bask in the warmth.
Declare a video night. Pick a favorite movie or any movie that you all can enjoy together. How about a classic like Harvey, the story of an imaginary friend, or Fly Away Home, about a great adventure in nature? Have a big bowl of popcorn, just like at the movies.
