Heat reserved drippings in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion, carrots, green pepper and garlic until tender. Add water, tomato sauce and undrained beans. Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Stir in reserved bacon and hot sauce to taste.
